KP Price records 250th career tackle

DURHAM, N.C. – The Boston College Football team lost to Duke, 47-2, on Saturday afternoon at Wallace Wade Stadium. The Eagles move to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in the ACC, while Duke improves to 6-2 and 3-2 in league play.

Mason McKenzie finished the game 9-17 for 87 yards. Femi Babalola and Grayson Wilson came on and recorded their first career completions. McKenzie and Bo McCormack tied for the team lead in rushing with 24 yards each. Jackson Wade led the Eagles in receiving with 36 yards. Javarius Green and Jaden Skeete each had two catches while Kaelen Chudzinski had one catch in his season debut.

Anthony Palano led the defense with nine tackles. KP Price surpassed 250 career tackles with his first tackle of the game in the first quarter. Carter Davis had his second interception of the season in the third quarter.

Duke stuck first on its second offensive possession with a one-yard rushing touchdown from running back Nate Sheppard, capping a 10-play, 80-yard drive to take a 7-0 lead.

The Blue Devils added to their lead later in the first quarter with another Sheppard touchdown. After a 15-yard penalty moved the PAT attempt back, a short-left Duke miss let Carter Davis return the kick 100 yards for two points.

Duke scored two touchdowns in the second quarter, including Sheppard's third of the game on the ground and Duke's first passing touchdown with two minutes to go in the half.

The Blue Devils found the end zone twice in the third quarter to add to their lead. Duke added two more field goals in the fourth quarter to close out the game.
