ABOUT THE DEVLIN FAMILY

The Devlin family has been champions for student-athlete success on the Heights for over a decade. In 2010, through the generosity of Michael ’88 and Matt ’90, BC student-athletes' impact reached an even greater audience through their establishment of the Katharine B. and Robert M. Devlin Student-Athletes for Education (S-AFE) and Leadership Development Program. The Devlin S-AFE Program honored the Devlin family's commitment to service and enabled student-athletes to develop in all facets of their collegiate experience. Originally developed at Tulane University in response to the need for outreach following Hurricane Katrina, the program has blossomed at Boston College to allow student-athletes service opportunities wherever the greatest need.
The Devlin family has doubled down on their commitment to championing our student-athletes off the field by endowing the Office of Student-Athlete Development. Devlin Student-Athlete Formation and Success will continue to center on the holistic growth of the student-athlete with specific focus on personal development, career readiness, community engagement and empowering their voice.
