Eagles Conclude First Weekend With Two Top 10 Finishes

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College Sailing kicked off the 2025 fall slate this weekend, racing in three regattas across New England. The Eagles placed fourth in the Pine Trophy, hosted by the Coast Guard, seventh in the Harry Anderson Trophy, hosted by Yale, and 15th in the Toni Duetsch, hosted by MIT.
Boston College started strong at the Pine Trophy Regatta, ending the first day of racing in third place with 24 points. Under the guidance of skippers Peter Busch and crew Peter Joslin, and Tor Svendsen and Madeline Torrey, the Eagles were able to finish the second day of the regatta in fourth place overall with 56 points.
At the Harry Anderson Trophy Regatta, the A Division boat of skipper Jack Redmond and crew Lanie Ferrarone opened the two-day event with 60 points for 10th place. B Division followed, as skipper Caroline Sibilly and crews Brendan Peary and Damien Bocan finished in third place with 29 points. The Eagles ended the event in seventh out of 18 teams with 89 points.
Boston College concluded the weekend at the Toni Duetsch '58 Trophy Regatta, where they finished 15th with 326 points. A Division was skippered by Kate Joslin and crewed by Emily Marlas, who earned 190 points. B Division was led by skipper Kennedy Laureigh and crew Paige Roby, who scored 136 points.
The Eagles return to action next weekend, competing in four regattas across New England. The team starts with the NEISA Singlehanded Championships on Saturday, September 12th, followed by the Hatch Brown Trophy, Regis Trophy, and Barnett Trophy on Sunday, September 13th.
