
Lacrosse Adds Graduate Assistant Savannah Sweitzer to Staff

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's lacrosse is excited to announce the addition of Savannah Sweitzer as the new graduate assistant.
Sweitzer will assist in helping the offense after spending the 2025 season as an assistant coach at Penn. The Quakers went 12-7 en route to an appearance in the NCAA Quarterfinals, defeating Army and a second-round win over Maryland in double overtime.
While at Penn, she played a role in the goalie's unit and the offense. She helped develop freshman goalie Orly Sedransk, who was the 2025 Ivy League Rookie and Goalkeeper of the Year. Sedransk was an IWLCA Third Team All-American, USA Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American. She posted a .490 save percentage with 180 saves and a 9.99 goals against average.Â
Prior to Penn, Sweitzer played three seasons at Syracuse, where she helped the Orange to a 49-15 mark and two trips to the NCAA semifinals. She scored 46 goals with 17 assists for 63 points.
During her graduate season, she totaled a career-best 24 goals and nine helpers, including a streak of 11 straight games with at least one point. Sweitzer dished out two assists against Northwestern and carded three hat tricks - also a personal high.Â
Sweitzer recorded 10 goals and six assists for 16 points in her senior campaign after tallying 14 points (12 goals, two assists) in her debut season in 2023. All three years at Syracuse, she improved her numbers across the board. In addition, she was a member of the All-ACC Academic Team and IWLCA Academic Honor Roll.
Before Syracuse, Sweitzer played three seasons at USC.Â
