WXC Punches Ticket to NCAA Championships

Nov. 10, 2012

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - No. 27 WXC earned its third consecutive NCAA Championship berth after their performance in the Northeast Regionals as announced by the NCAA on Saturday.

After earning an automatic bid last season, the Eagles took one of 13 at-large bids this year and look to improve on their 12th place finish at the NCAA's last year.  This year's meet takes place at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday November 17 at noon.

Jillian King and Liv Westphal's performances at the Northeast Regionals on Friday paced the Eagles to a fourth place finish.  The team will bring eight runners on the trip with one serving as a sub for the seven runner field.

Morgan Mueller, Bridget Dahlberg, and Allison Stasiuk rounded out the Eagles' top five yesterday as they continued their stellar seasons.

No. 9 Georgetown is the defending champion from last season and returns to the field after earning an automatic berth in the Mid-Atlantic Regional.
