Oct. 12, 2012
Madison, Wisc. - The Boston College women's cross country team scored three members in the top 100 en route to a tie with the University of Minnesota. The Eagles and Golden Gophers each scored 482 points, good for 16th place out of 48 teams.
Senior Jillian King recorded a team best 20:18 for the 6K course and finished 31st overall for the event out of 327 participants.
Boston College's top five was rounded out by Liv Westphal (20:35), Bridget Dahlberg (20:47), Morgan Mueller (20:53), and Elizabeth Hynes (21:18). Allison Stasiuk (21:25) and Madeleine Davidson (22:28) concluded the rest of the Eagles' field.
King, Westphal, Dahlberg, and Stasiuk all improved on their times from last season's Wisconsin Invitational.
"This was a good test and a good field to compete in," said assistant coach Julie Heyde. "We know what we need to do in order to improve for the ACC Championships and NCAA Regionals."
Boston College will be back in action next Friday for the Rothenberg Race in East Greenwich, R.I.
