No. 14 WXC Wins the UMass Invitational

Amherst, Mass. – The Boston College women’s cross country team scored five members in the top seven as they finished first at the UMass Invitational on Saturday. Senior Jillian King was the individual winner with a time of 17:53.05.
King, the Scotia, N.Y. native, has taken back-to-back first place finishes at the UMass Invitational. In her BC debut, Madeleine Davidson finished fourth overall at 18:20.93. The Eagles’ top five was rounded out by Elizabeth Hynes (second), Allison Stasiuk (fifth), and Morgan Mueller (seventh).
Boston College claimed 13 of the top 15 finishers in the event and finished with a team score of 19, good for 59 points ahead of second place Stonehill College.
Mueller registered a personal record for a 5K course with a time of 18:30.57
Boston College won’t be back in action until the New England Championships on October 7 in Westfield, Mass.
