Julie's coaching and recruiting responsibilities at BC will be focused on the sprint, middle-distance, hurdle, jump, throw, and multi event areas, as well as cross country. "I am very excited to be here at Boston College," states Heyde. "I love this University and this track and field and cross country program. BC has meant a lot to me, and I am happy to be able to give back to this community and to share again in what makes Boston College a special place. I am very thankful to head coach Randy Thomas for this opportunity. I look forward to coaching future generations of Eagles."

She was the assistant coach for boys and girls indoor/outdoor track and field at Natick High School from 2004-2008. Julie also has experience and interest in another sport - swimming. She was the head coach of the Brookline High School girls' swim and dive team in 2006 and 2007, as well as the assistant coach for Wayland High School boys and girls swimming.

After working with high school athletes, Julie went on to earn her Masters Degree in Higher Education Administration from North Carolina State University where she coached on the staff of the men's and women's swimming and diving teams at the University from 2008-2010. After earning her M.
