AS A SENIOR (2004-05)
(Cross Country) Received an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship where she finished 15th and earned her third All-American status...finished ninth overall and first among BC runners at the Big East Championship, crossing the line in 20 minutes, 36 seconds...(Indoor) At the New England championship, Cicero placed third in the 3,000-meter run in 9:36.11...finished fifth in the 3,000 meter run at the Big East championship, running it in 9:39.57, she also placed third in the 5,000 with a time of 16:24.60...(Outdoor) At the NCAA championship, Cicero finished 15th in the 10,000 finishing in 34:10.18, previously in the season she set the school record in the event with a time of 33:52.77 at the SAC Relays...captured the 10,000 title in 35:21.48 at the Big East Championship...also took fifth place honors in the 5,000 at the Big East Championship, crossing in 16:40.72.

AS A JUNIOR (2003-04)
(Cross Country) redshirted...(Indoor) After missing cross country season with an injury, returned to qualify for the 3,000 at the Big East Championships...finished fourth in 5,000 meters at New England Championships with a time of 17:34.37...(Outdoor) Redshirted.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2002-03)
(Indoor) Hit an NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark in the 3,000 with her winning time of 9:31.85 at the Terrier Invitational...placed fifth in the 5,000 at the Big East Championships.

AS A FRESHMAN (2001-02)
(Indoor) Ran away with the 3,000 at the Harvard dual meet, finishing in 9:28.24, the second-fastest time in BC history...set a new school record in the 5,000 at the Terrier Classic, turning in a 16:13.55 en route to finishing first among collegiate entrants ...the previous record, set by Michelle Hallett had stood for 16 years...clocked a season-best time of 4:51.02 in the mile at the BU Tri-Meet en route to a second-place finish...was the Eagles' highest finisher at the Big East Championships, claiming second in the 3,000 with a time of 9:34.19, provisionally qualifying her for the NCAA Championships... helped the distance medley relay to a sixth-place finish at the Big East Championships... as the only freshman competing in the event, took home a 12th-place finish in the 5,000 at the NCAA Championships...(Outdoor) Broke Hallett's 17-year-old school record in the 10,000 by more than 14 seconds at the Mt. SAC Relays, clocking a 33:53.86...came in sixth in the 5,000 at the ECAC Championships in 16:40.68, the third-fastest time in school history... earned all-America honors for capturing fifth in the 10,000 at the NCAA Championships with a time of 34.52.76...second time she received the accolade last year, as she was an All-American in cross country as well.

Illinois High School cross country state champion and record holder her senior year... state indoor and outdoor track champion in the 1,600 and 3,200 her senior year...set state record in 3,200 victory...placed 13th at the Foot Locker Nationals... earned runner-up finish at Foot Locker Regionals...finished second at the Golden West Invitational in the 3,200...indoor high school state champion in the 3,200 in 2000...runner-up in the 1,600 and 3,200 at the 2000 Illinois High School Outdoor State Championships ...holds school and conference records in the 1,600 and 3,200...held fastest indoor time in the nation in the 3,200.

Born on January 5, 1983...enrolled in the College of Arts & Sciences...Maria is the youngest of Nancy and John Cicero's three children.
