Volleyball to Host Boston College Invitational

The Boston College volleyball team returns home as they host the four-team, two-day BC Invitational tournament Saturday, Sept. 7 through Sunday, Sept. 8.

Bryant from the Northeast Conference, Fairfield from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, and Hampton from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference comprise the tournament field.

Four matches are slated for Saturday with Hampton against Fairfield kicking off the tournament at 10:30 a.m. Boston College and Bryant square off at 1 p.m., followed by Bryant and Hampton at 4:30. The Eagles match up against Fairfield at 7 p.m. to conclude day one of the tournament.

Fairfield and Bryant will start off day two of the invitational at 10:30 a.m., followed by Boston College and Hampton wrapping up the event at 1 p.m.

The invitational will serve as the second tournament of the season for the Eagles after traveling to the Western Carolina Invitational Labor Day Weekend.

The Eagles, led by the efforts of outside hitter Katty Workman, split the weekend series defeating USC-Upstate and Wright State and falling to Western Carolina and UNC-Asheville. Workman and senior Melissa McTighe earned All-Tournament accolades for Boston College.
