Julia Topor Joins BC Volleyball

May 28, 2014

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.- Boston College head coach Chris Campbell announced the signing of Julia Topor, a transfer from UNLV, on Wednesday.

"Julia is a welcome addition to the BC family.  Her combination of high level club experience with Rob Crispi at USANY along with significant playing time during her freshman year at UNLV give her the background to fit in well at BC," said Campbell. "She has the size and physical ability to compete in the ACC and we are looking forward to our first practice with her in the gym."

Julia finished her freshman campaign at UNLV with 108 kills, 12 assists and 37 total blocks on the season.

A 2013 graduate of Bogota High School in Bogota, N.J, Topor lettered four years in volleyball and three more in track & field. She helped lead the Buccaneers to three straight state and North Jersey Interscholastic Conference championships from 2010 through 2012, as well as a county title in 2012.

Topor played club volleyball with USANY, a team that not only plays a national schedule, but an international one, as well, with matches against squads from Canada, the Dominican Republic and at the JVA World Championships.
