Sophomore outside hitter Katty Workman is a two-time All-ACC Academic honoree

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.- Sophomore outside hitter Katty Workman has earned 2013 All-ACC Academic Volleyball Team honors, as announced by the conference office on Thursday.

This is the second season in which Workman has been named to the All-ACC Academic team.

A native of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Workman has been a vital component of the Eagles’ offense. She finished her sophomore campaign sitting fourth in the ACC and fourth all-time at BC in single-season kills with 438. She also set a new sophomore single-season class record. Workman now holds the record in kills for the freshman and sophomore class.

To be eligible for All-ACC Academic Team consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his or her academic career.
