Boston College Tops Central Connecticut in Five Games
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - Julia El-Hag and Amy Laurence each posted 18 kills to lead the Boston
College women's volleyball team past Central Connecticut in five games. Game scores were
15-9, 14-16, 19-17, 11-15 and 15-8.
Boston College dominated play at the net, with nine blocks compared to none for the Blue
Devils. In addition to El-Hag and Laurence, BC's Natalie Scott also reached double figures
in kills with 12. Laurence spearheaded the defensive effort for the Eagles with 17 digs, while Scott chipped
in with 16.
Rachel Miller paced the Blue Devils with a game-high 19 kills, while Molly Holcomb
collected 23 digs for the home team.
Boston College improves its record to 7-20 with the victory. The Eagles return to Big East
action this weekend, hosting Connecticut on Saturday and St. John's on Sunday.
