BC Volleyball Defeats Rutgers

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- On Friday evening, BC volleyball team beat BIG EAST Conference foe Rutgers University at home, in Power Gym. The Eagles record now stands at 5-13 on the season and 1-0 in BIG EAST play, the Scarlet Knights fall to 11-9 and 0-1 in BIG EAST action.

Boston College took the first two games of the match with a score of 15-7 in both contests. Rutgers then rebounded to take matches 3 and 4 by the scores of 15-4 and 15-8. In the fifth and decisive match BC won 15-13.

Boston College next game will be at home, in Power Gym on Sunday, October 5 against BIG EAST foe Seton Hall at 2 p.m.
