BC Loses to Fairfield University

FAIRFIELD, CT- The Fairfield University volleyball team (18-4) defeated the Boston College Eagles (5-17) in four games this evening at Alumni Hall in front of 365 fans (15-6, 15-9, 9-15, 15-10). The win stretches the Stags win streak to a season best six straight and have now won all eight homes this year.

The Stags made a quick work of the Eagles in the first game, 15-6, but found them selves down 9-5 in the second game. They rallied back scoring 10 unanswered points to take the second game 15-9. The Eagles took the third game 9-15, but Fairfield bounced back to earn the victory with a 15-10 win in the fourth game.

Jen McLaughlin (Cincinnati, OH) led the way for the Stags as she knocked down 17 kills and 16 digs for the Stags. Liz Bower (Cincinnati, OH) dished out a game-high 53 assists in the win. Julia El-Hag (Bedford, NY) had an outstanding match for BC. The freshman collected 11 digs, five service aces and 14 digs.
