CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College (14-17, 8-13 ACC) volleyball team lost a tough match against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (22-9, 16-5 ACC), 3-2, Wednesday evening at Power Gymnasium.
After BC dropped game-one, 30-20, the Eagles evened the match with a 30-23 win in the second game. Georgia Tech won game-three, 30-28, to take a 2-1 lead in the match. With BC trailing 28-22 in game-four, the Eagles rallied to win the game, 32-30, to send the match to a deciding game-five. In the fifth game, Georgia Tech won 16-14, and earned the match victory.
Kelsey Johnson tallied a team-high 21 kills and added nine digs for the Eagles. Tori Thompson set a career-high with 18 kills and contributed 14 digs for her third double-double of the season.
Audrey Eichler totaled 14 kills and five blocks, while Abigail Hasebroock connected for 13 kills and five blocks in the loss. Brittany Pierpont dished out 70 assists and Cathy Quilico added a game-high 26 digs for the Eagles.
BC concludes it's season on Friday, Nov. 23 at noon against the Clemson Tigers at Power Gymnasium in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
