Chestnut Hill, Mass- Sophomore Katty Workman led all players with 22 kills to go with eight digs while senior Melissa McTighe had 15 kills on .444 hitting as the Boston College volleyball team lost to Syracuse on Sunday evening in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

Boston College (8-18, 0-14 ACC) stole the first set, 25-16 but Syracuse (13-13, 8-6 ACC) won the second and third sets, 25-20 and 25-18. The Eagles clinched the fourth set 25-20. The fifth set was tight the entire way but the Orange prevailed in the fifth, 18-16 taking the match, 3-2.

Freshman Anna Skold had a career-high 14 kills and junior Courtney Castle logged nine kills and 22 digs. Junior Kellie Barnum posted a match-high 59 kills while Amanda Yerke came through with eight kills for the Eagles.

Libero Madisen Lydon led all players with 24 digs and junior Lauren Fields contributed with five digs in the match.

The Eagles are back in Power Gym next weekend playing host to Maryland on Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. and Pittsburgh on Sunday, Nov. 17 at noon.
