Outside hitter Katty Workman tallied a match-high 13 kills to go with six digs in the Eagles' loss to Pittsburgh on Friday night at Fitzgerald Field House in Pittsburgh, Pa.  

Boston College (8-11, 0-7 ACC) fell in straight sets, 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-22) to the Panthers (12-8, 4-3 ACC).

Workman paced the offense for the Eagles while senior Melissa McTighe came through with eight kills, two digs, and a block. Amanda Yerke posted seven kills and two blocks while sophomore Sarah Mendes notched five kills and eight digs.

At the setter spot, captain Kellie Barnum registered a match-high 31 assists to go with a kill and four digs while newcomer Barbara Gonzalez contributed four kills, two assists, two digs, and two blocks for the Eagles.

Defensively, freshman libero Madisen Lydon led all players with 12 digs. Sophomore Franny Hock notched three digs while teammate Lauren Fields contributed with two.

Standouts for the Panthers included Kate Yeazel who notched 11 kills to go with a dig and four blocks along with teammate Jessica Wynn who recorded eight kills, two assists, and seven digs.

The Eagles are back in action Sunday, Oct. 20 as they head to College Park, Md. to take on the Terrapins at 2 p.m.
