COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Boston College volleyball team dropped an Atlantic Coast Conference match-up, 3-1, Tuesday evening against the Maryland Terrapins.
The Eagles rebounded after a game-one loss, 30-26, to even the match with a 30-22 win in game-two. The Terrapins rallied after losing game-two to take games three and four from BC, 30-25 and 30-21.
In game-two, BC connected on 19 of 34 attempts with only three errors for a .471 attack percentage. On the evening, the Eagles totaled a .245 attack percentage against Maryland.
Kelsey Johnson recorded her ninth double-double of the season, tallying a match-high 27 kills and adding 10 digs. Johnson totaled a hitting percentage of .386 on the evening, her second highest percentage of the season.
Brittany Pierpont recorded a double-double, dishing out a team-high 32 assists and recording 10 digs. Tori Thompson totaled a team-high 11 digs, while Cathy Quilico added 10 digs. Dani Moskitis added 20 assists for the Eagles on the evening.
The Eagles are now 10-10 overall, 4-6 in the ACC. The Terrapins own a 13-6 overall record, 5-5 in the ACC.
The Eagles head to South Carolina to battle the Clemson Tigers on Friday, Oct. 19. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
