Volleyball Defeats NC State, 3-1

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College volleyball team evened their ACC record at 2-2, 8-6 overall, by defeating the NC State Wolfpack, 3-1, Thursday evening at Power Gymnasium.
The Eagles jumped out to lead the match early, winning game one against the Wolfpack. A kill by Kelsey Johnson which gave BC an 11-9 lead fueled a 19-10 rally to earn the game one victory, 30-19.
In game two, the Wolfpack evened the match by narrowly defeating BC, 32-30. The Eagles were able to rally in games three and four winning by scores of 30-24 and 30-21 to take the match against NC State.
Johnson led the Eagles offense registering her fifth double-double of the season. The senior totaled a match-high 18 kills and added 10 digs in the win. Fellow senior Abigail Hasebroock recorded a double-double of her own, totaling a match-high 11 total blocks while also tallying 11 kills.
The loss drops NC State to 3-11 on the season, 0-4 in the ACC.
The Eagles are back in action on Sunday, Sept. 30 when they host North Carolina at 1:00 p.m.
