Volleyball Defeats Delaware State

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Boston College volleyball team swept the Hornets of Delaware State, 3-0, in their final game of the Harvard Invitational, Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles went 2-1 during the tournament, sweeping both Wofford College and Delaware State. BC's only loss came against the Spartans of Michigan State.
BC performed excellent on both the offensive and defensive sides of the court. The Eagles tallied an attacking percentage for all three games of .441. The defense of BC kept the Hornets attack in check, holding Delaware State to only 25 kills over the three games of the match.
Senior Kelsey Johnson led the offensive charge for the Eagles, totaling a match-high 15 kills on 22 attempts, committing only one error.
BC freshman Dani Moskitis marked her strongest match of the season, recording a career-high 12 digs and match-high four service aces.
The win improves the Eagles record to 6-4 on the season. The loss for Delaware State drops their overall record to 0-11.
BC is back in action on Saturday, Sept. 15, when they host their first Atlantic Coast Conference game against the Maryland Terrapins. Game time is schedule for 1:00 p.m. at Power Gym in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
