GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior Jillian King was named women’s ACC Indoor Track and Field Performer of the Week for her performance at BU’s Make-Up Meet last Thursday in an announcement made by the ACC on Tuesday.

The Scotia, N.Y. native set the school record in the mile with a time of 4:34.19, besting her sister Caroline’s previous record of 4:36.00 set in the 2011 NCAA Indoor Championships. King’s mark in the mile was the sixth best time recorded in the nation this season and she also boasts the 16th best mark in the nation in the 800m (2:06.65).

King also earned ACC Performer of the Week honors and USTFCCCA Athlete of the Week honorable mention back on Jan. 22 for her performance in the BU Multi-Team Meet.

The Eagles will travel down to Blacksburg for the ACC Indoor Championships from Thursday-Saturday. Coverage of the event can be found here.
