Women's Track Finishes Fourth At New Englands

WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Boston College women's track and field team finished fourth at the New England Outdoor Championships this weekend held at Westfield State.
Rhode Island won the event with 77 points while Southern Connecticut came in second with 76. UMass rounded out the top three with 61.50 points while BC finished with 57.
The weekend was highlighted by the 4x400m relay team of sophomore Carly Daniel, senior Molly O'Dea, freshman Emma Sullivan and freshman Robin Gross that finished second with a time of 3:45.63. That time is the second-best time BC history. O'Dea's 56.1 split was the best 400m she has run in her career.
Freshman Fallyn Boich finished second in the javelin throw with a toss of 41.68m while sophomore Danielle Winslow took second in the steeplechase with a time of 10:28.10. DiSomma took fourth in the 800m at 2:12.70.
Sophomore Kristen McDonagh finished in fourth place in the heptathlon. She won the high jump event during the event by clearing 1.67m.
Also scoring for the Eagles were Davidson in the 1500m (4:35.82) and freshman Christina Zelenoy in the 400m hurdles (1:04.84). Both of those women took seventh in their respective events.
The Eagles will compete in the ECAC Championships next weekend at Princeton.
