Women's Track and Field Competes at Iowa and Brown

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Four members of the Boston College women’s track and field team raced at the Iowa State Classic, while the rest of the team competed at the Brown Invitational over the weekend.
All four runners at the Iowa State Classic competed in the 5000m, and each met the ACC qualifying standard. Liv Westphal took 17th overall with a time of 16:32.41, Madeleine Davidson finished 30th in 16:53.70, Laura Hottenrott was 33rd with a time of 17:03.23 and Morgan Mueller finished in 17:10.83, good for 35th in the race.
Molly O’Dea led the way for the Eagles at Brown, as she finished second in the 60 meter prelims (7.87) and the 400 meters (59.24), meeting the ECAC qualifying standard in both races. Sophomore Jacqueline Hannon also ran in the 400 meters, taking fifth in 1:02.76.
Four Eagles competed in the 500 meters. Carly Daniel took second (1:18.05) and Robin Gross finished third (1:18.17), as both runners met the ECAC standard. Freshmen Camila Isern (4th, 1:19.75) and Christina Zelenoy (sixth, 1:20.63) also ran in the race.
Claudia DiSomma and Kathy O’Keefe both meet the ECAC mark in the 800 meters. Disomma took first in the race and O’Keefe finished second overall. Freshman Kristen Jordan (2:20.32) finished third and sophomore Ashlynn Fields (2:21.35) took fourth.
Dana Levin was the final Eagle to meet the ECAC mark, as the freshman took first in the 5000 meters in 18:27.77.
Fallyn Boich set her personal record in the shotput with a throw of 34' 2.25", good for fourth in the meet.
BC will be back in action at the USATFNE Championships on Sunday, Feb. 23.
