Women's T&F Finishes Fourth at Battle of Beantown

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Boston College women’s track and field team finished fourth at the Battle of Beantown hosted by Harvard University on Saturday afternoon. Eight individuals and one relay team met qualifying standards in the meet.
Madeleine Davidson had the solo individual first place performance for BC, finishing first in the mile and meeting the New England qualifying time by crossing the line in 4:56.91.
Three more Eagles met the NE qualifying mark in the 3k. Morgan Mueller took second (9:59), Elizabeth O’Brian finished third (10:01) and Alanna Poretta finished eighth (10:12.33). O’Brian and Poretta both set personal records in the race.
Personal records were set by three other Eagles: Racquel MacDonal in the 60m hurdles (9.28), Fallyn Boich in the shotput (9.70m) and Kathy O’Keefe in the 1000m (2:53.55).
Freshman Claudia DiSomma took second in the 800m with a time of 2:16.04 and Molly O’Dea finished seventh in the finals of the 60m dash with a time of 7.98. Both met the NE qualifying mark.
BC will compete next on Jan. 24 at the Boston University Terrier Classic.
