Jennifer Ren to Join Women's Tennis in Fall of 2013

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Jennifer Ren, a native of London, England, has officially signed to join the Boston College women's tennis team in the fall of 2013, head coach Nigel Bentley announced on Wednesday.
"We are thrilled to be adding a student-athlete of Jenny's caliber to our team," Bentley said. "She brings experience, commitment, and tremendous ability. She will have a significant impact on our lineup, and we are really excited that she chose to come to BC."
Ren has earned a ranking as high as No. 71 on the ITF circuit and held the No. 1 ranking in Great Britain's U18 division. She has competed at the Junior Wimbledon and Australian opens and reached the finals of the U18 national championships.
A graduate of the Tapton School, Ren has represented Great Britain in both summer and winter cups and played as a part of Great Britain's Junior Fed Cup team.
She spent the 2011-12 academic year at Fresno Pacific University where she went 7-5 in dual-match doubles competition including a 5-0 mark in Golden State Athletic Conference play.
During the early signing period, Lexi Borr and Emily Safron signed National Letters of Intent to play at Boston College and will join Ren at the Heights in the fall.
