CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The ninth-seeded Boston College women's tennis team will face eighth-seeded North Carolina State in the first round of the ACC Championship on Thursday at 9 a.m. at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C.

The Eagles enter the tournament with a 9-9 overall record and a 3-7 mark in the ACC while the Wolfpack come into the tournament with a 13-8 overall record and a 4-7 mark in the ACC.

Earlier this season, then-No. 61 BC fell to then-No. 44 NC State, 5-2 on April 13 at Dail Outdoor Tennis Stadium in Raleigh, N.C. Freshmen Katya Vasilyev and Wan-Yi Sweeting each won in singles and doubles in the match for the Eagles.

The championship will include five of the nation's top 30 singles players in North Carolina's Gina Suarez-Malaguti (No. 9), Virginia's Julia Elbaba (No. 12), Clemson's Yana Koroleva (No. 18) and Anne-Liz Jeukeng (No. 27), and Duke's Hannah Mar (No. 18).

The winner of BC and NC State's match will face No. 1-seeded North Carolina in the quarterfinal round on Friday at 9 a.m.
