Borr, Gaudreau Named Eagles of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Freshman Lexi Borr (women's tennis) and junior Johnny Gaudreau (men's hockey) have been named Eagles of the Week for their performances last week.

Borr went 2-0 this past weekend in singles action and also went 1-1 in doubles. She helped the Eagles to a 1-1 mark on the weekend with a 4-3 win over #20 Georgia Tech. Borr won at #3 singles (6-2, 6-2) and then won at #2 doubles (8-5) against the Yellow Jackets. She also won at the #3 singles slot against Notre Dame (2-6, 6-3, 7-5).

Gaudreau's point streak reached 31-straight games on Saturday which tied the Hockey East record set by Paul Kariya in the 1992-93 season. Over the course of the streak, Gaudreau recorded 29 goals and 32 assists for 61 points. He had 17 multi-point performances during the streak and was a +33 on the ice. Gaudreau scored a point in all 20 Hockey East games this year.

Women's tennis (9-5, 1-3 ACC) hosts Pittsburgh on Friday and will travel to Syracuse on Sunday. Men's hockey (26-7-4, 16-2-2 HE) awaits its NCAA Tournament destiny with regional rounds beginning March 28.
