Women's Tennis Loses to No. 10 Miami, 6-1

Sophomore Jessica Wacnik won in singles and doubles, but Boston College lost to No. 10 Miami, 6-1, at the Weymouth Club in Weymouth, Mass., on Saturday evening.
The Hurricanes (15-3, 6-1 ACC) took two of three doubles matches to earn the doubles point before winning five of the six singles matches over the Eagles (8-6, 2-5 ACC).
Wacnik picked up BC's lone point with a 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (14) victory over No. 73 Kelsey Laurente on court No. 2. The Orland Park, Ill., native downed an ITA-ranked opponent for the second consecutive match.
In doubles, Wacnik teamed with senior Alex Kelleher to defeat No. 31 Lina Lilekite and Stephanie Wagner, 8-1, on court No. 1. The duo improved to 11-3 overall and 5-2 in ACC play as a doubles team.
Boston College returns to play at NC State on April 13 at noon.
