Senior Alex Kelleher and sophomore Jessica Wacnik each defeated a nationally-ranked opponent as Boston College downed No. 20 Florida State, 4-2, at the Dedham Health & Athletic Complex in Dedham, Mass., on Friday night.

The Eagles (8-5, 2-4 ACC) dropped a closely contested doubles point before taking four singles victories to rally for the win over the Seminoles (11-5, 3-2 ACC). BC defeated an ITA-ranked team for the third time this season and picked up its first win over a top-25 foe this year.

Keller defeated No. 31 Daneika Borthwick, 6-1, 3-6, 6-2, in her first match of the season at the No. 1 position, and Wacnik beat No. 109 Francesca Segarelli, 6-1, 6-2, at the No. 2 spot.

Senior Kelly Barry and freshman Katya Vasilyev each earned victories in singles play with Barry outlasting Mia Vriens, 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-1, on court No. 3 and Vasilyev edging Kerrie Cartwright, 6-3, 6-7 (4), 7-6 (3), on court No. 5.

Next, Boston College hosts No. 10 Miami at the Weymouth Club on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
