Women's Tennis Falls to No. 15 Clemson, 6-1

Freshman Wan-Yi Sweeting won her singles match, but Boston College fell to No. 15 Clemson, 6-1, on Sunday afternoon at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center in Clemson, S.C.

Despite competitive matches at all three spots, the Eagles (7-5, 1-4 ACC) dropped the doubles point before the Tigers (9-5, 4-1 ACC) took five of the six singles matches.

Sweeting defeated Ani Miao, 5-7, 6-2, 1-0 (10-6) on court No. 5 to pick up her first career ACC singles win.

Senior Alex Kelleher and freshman Heini Salonen each took sets in singles play on court Nos. 2 and 4 respectively.

Next, Boston College hosts Florida State on April 5 at 5 p.m.
