No. 34 Women's Tennis Falls To No. 67 Syracuse, 4-3

SYRACUSE, N.Y.- The No. 34 Boston College women's tennis team (10-6, 2-6 ACC) lost a hard-fought match to No. 67 Syracuse on Sunday afternoon at Drumlins Tennis Club in Syracuse, N.Y. 

The Orange sealed the doubles point after winning a close match on court one. The duo of Jessica Wacnik and Lexi Borr exchanged points with Syracuse's Kobelt and Salazar, but Syracuse won, 8-7 (7-4).

In singles action, Boston College was victorious on courts two, three, and five. Katya Vasilyev defeated Amanda Rodgers at the No. 2, 6-3, 6-4. 

On court three Lexi Borr beat Rhiann Newborn, 6-0, 3-6, 6-4 and Emily Safron clinched a point on court five defeating Maria Avgerinos, 6-3, 6-3. 

Syracuse earned wins on courts one, four, and six to take the match. 

The Eagles are back in action on Sunday, March 30 as they host Clemson at 11 a.m. in the Plex.
