Women's Tennis Falls to No. 25 Notre Dame, 6-1

DEDHAM, Mass. – The No. 45 Boston College women’s tennis team fell to the 25th-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 6-1, on Saturday afternoon in Dedham, Mass.

The Eagles, coming off of a dramatic win over ACC foe Georgia Tech on Friday, challenged the Irish to a lot of close matches.

Freshman standout Lexi Borr held on to win her singles match at the No. 3 spot. The Westfield, N.J., product defeated Notre Dame’s Jennifer Kellner, 2-6, 6-3, 7-5.

The Irish stole victories from the No. 1 doubles and No. 2 doubles teams, signaling the doubles point in the favor of Notre Dame.

The Eagles next host Pittsburgh on March 21. The match is set to begin at 5 p.m.
