Sophomore Jessica Wacnik won on court No. 1 in singles and doubles as Boston College edged No. 74 Harvard, 4-3, at the Murr Center in Cambridge, Mass., on Saturday evening.

The Eagles (5-0, 1-0 ACC) split the six singles matches with the Crimson (2-3, 0-0 Ivy) and took two of three doubles matches to win the doubles point.

Wacnik topped Hideko Tachibana 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 in singles and teamed with senior Alex Kelleher to defeat Tachibana and Amy He in doubles, 8-7 (2).

In singles play, senior Kelly Barry beat Sylva Li on court No. 3, 7-6 (1), 7-6 (0), while freshman Wan-Yi Sweeting outlasted Crystal Yen, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (5), on court No. 6.

Freshman Heini Salonen partnered with senior Olga Khmylev to defeat Hai-Li Kong and Natalie Blosser, 8-3, on court No. 2 in doubles.

Boston College returns to play at Cal State Fullerton in Fullerton, Calif., on March 4 at 2 p.m.
