AS A SOPHOMORE (2013-14):
Spring: Earned two 6-2 victories in doubles action...earned victory in doubles against Florida International University (3/4)...ACC doubles win against Pittsburgh (3/21), Syracuse (3/23), NC State (4/6), Maryland (4/18) and Pittsburgh (4/23)...picked up ACC singles wins again Georgia Tech (3/14), Wake Forest (4/4), NC State (4/6) and Duke (4/11).
Fall: Earned three wins in singles play at the Brown Invitational (9/20-22)...won 7-5, 7-5 over Amber Li of Yale University (10/6)...earned two victories in singles and doubles action at the USTA Championships (10/17).

Joined the program in January of 2013.

AS A FRESHMAN (2012-13)
Spring: Went 8-3 (3-2 ACC) in dual-match singles play and 5-6 (2-4 ACC) in dual-match doubles competition ... played primarily at the No. 6 singles spot and exclusively at the No. 3 slot in doubles primarily with Katya Vasilyev ... won her singles match in an ACC Championship matchup with NC State (4/25) ... earned victories in singles and doubles in matches at Wake Forest (4/14) and at NC State (4/13) ... took first career ACC singles win at Clemson (3/31) ... captured a singles win over Anne-Sophie Williams at No. 6 at Cal State Fullerton (3/4) ... picked up first collegiate singles win and also won in doubles at Harvard (2/23) ... won 8-4 in doubles at No. 3 with Ina Kauppila against Dartmouth (1/19) in first collegiate event.

Ranked in the top five of the Hong Kong National Women's rankings and at No. 438 in the ITF Junior rankings ... earned five singles points and two doubles points in the WTA ... won the 2012 Red Deer Women's Open and Mount Pleasant Women's Open in Edmonton and Calgary respectively ... took home the singles title at the 2012 Aubergenville Women's Open in France ... reached the semifinals of the 2011 Montesson Women's Open in France beating the No. 15 and No. 3-ranked players ... made it to the semifinals of the 2011 Hong Kong SCAA Women's Open ... won in women's and mixed doubles at the 2012 Stanley Park Open in Vancouver ... selected for the WA Tennis Academy at age 13 ... played internationally in Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Croatia, Turkey, Belgium, France, Canada, the United States, Mexico, Colombia, and Peru ... studied through Schools of Isolated and Distance Education based out of Perth, Australia from 2007-12 ... won the Dux Award - the equivalent of earning valedictorian status - in her final year at SIDE ... spent time training at Weil Tennis Academy in Ojai, Calif., and at Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in Paris ... also competed in track and field.

Born in Hong Kong ... Wan-Yi is the daughter of Chris and Tat-Leong Sweeting ... represents Hong Kong on the ITF circuit ... enrolled in the College of Arts & Sciences.
