W. Swimming Falls to Williams and Fordham at Tri-Meet

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Boston College women's swimming and diving team finished third at a tri-meet on Saturday, Dec. 3. The Eagles fell to host and overall winner, Williams, 202-98, in addition to Fordham, 212-98.
Shannon Landers earned BC's only individual victory at the meet, taking first in the 100-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:09.56.
Stephanie Ng offered support for the Eagles by earning top-four finishes in three events. Ng took second in the 200-Yard Backstroke (2:09.49), third in the 100-Yard Backstroke (1:00.12) and fourth in the 200-Yard Individual Medley (2:13.87). Ng, along with Melissa Merwin, Mary Fothergill and Kimberly Rich helped BC place fourth in the 200-Yard Medley Relay with a combined time of 1:52.81.
BC will not compete again until after the holidays. The Eagles return to action when they travel to Upstate New York to take on Canisius on Jan. 13 at 1 p.m. and Niagara on Jan. 14 at 11 a.m.
