W. Swimming Finishes Eighth at Terrier Invite

BOSTON, Mass. - The Boston College women's swimming and diving team placed eighth out of 10 teams at the Terrier Invite, hosted by Boston University, from Nov. 18-20. BC closed out the weekend with 220 points to finish ahead of both Stony Brook (179.5) and Central Connecticut (71).
The Eagles turned in several strong performances, in both individual and team events, throughout the course of the weekend. Stephanie Ng led the Eagles, earning the team's highest finish of the weekend. She placed fifth in the 200-Yard Backstroke with a time of 2:06.54. Shannon Landers added to the BC effort, as she turned in an eighth-place finish in the 50-Yard Freestyle (24.53) and a 10th-place finish in the 100-Yard Breaststroke (1:06.83).
BC finished ninth in both the 200- and 400-Yard Medley Relay events. Ng, Landers, Annie Fothergill and Kathryn Raplee swam the 400 Medley for BC, while Ng, Landers, Mary Fothergill and Mikki Morr swam the 200. The Eagles earned its best relay finish of the day in the 400-Yard Freestyle, as Raplee, A. Fothergill, Landers and Patty Kautz combined for a sixth place finish with a time of 3:32.89.
BC returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 3 when the team travels to Williams College for a meet set to begin at 12 p.m.
