The Boston College women's swimming and diving team finished second out of three teams in a meet hosted by the Eagles on Friday, Nov. 4. BC defeated Maine, 170-130, but fell to Florida Gulf Coast, 188-103.
The Eagles were led by Stephanie Ng, who was named BC's Outstanding Performer of the meet. Ng earned a first place finish in the 200-Yard IM with a time of 2:12.61. She also took second in the 200-Yard Backstroke (2:09.87) and third in the 200-Yard Butterfly (2:10.18).
The team's distance freestyle swimmers - Andrea King, Caitlin Molloy, Kathryn Raplee, and Kelly McGrath - turned in BC Outstanding Performances of the meet. In the 500-Yard Freestyle, these four swimming swept the top four finishes. King placed first with a time of 5:15.90, followed by Raplee (5:16.31), Molloy (5.19.63) and McGrath (5:21.17). King (10:47.58) and Molloy (10:51.04) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 1,000-Yard Freestyle, as well.
The Eagles return to action on Nov. 18 when they compete at the Terrier Invite hosted by Boston University.
