Women's Swimming Falls to Bryant

The men's and women's swimming and diving teams split with Bryant University on Friday, as the men won 183.5-110.5 and the women lost.

Senior James Boretti and sophomore Nick Henze both turned out a strong performance for the Eagles. Boretti won both the 1000 yard freestyle (10:03.20) and the 200 yard IM (2:00.81), and took third in the 200 yard backstroke (2:11.78). Henze took first in the 200 yard freestyle (1:43.94), the 100 yard freestyle (47.71), the 500 yard freestyle (4:54.42), and his team won the 400 yard freestyle relay (3:11.80). T he men captured 13 first place finishes out of 16 events at the meet.

Kathryn Raplee had the most impressive meet for the women finishing second in the 200 yard freestyle (1:59.08) and third in the 500 yard freestyle (5:19.05), and she helped her 400 yard freestyle relay team finish second (3:41.57).

The Eagles will return to action October 19 when they host the NE Catholic Invite.
