The Boston College women's swimming and diving team placed third out of four teams, defeating Rowan University (248-90), but falling to the University of Vermont (208-92) and host Army (173-121), in the first meet of the season.
Freshman Samantha Couillard finished fourth in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:09.45 and second in the 200 yard breaststroke in a time of 2:29.24 and was the top performer for the Eagles. Sophomore Dana Hadra also had a strong day finishing sixth in the 1 meter dive with a score of 186.4 and first in the three meter dive with a score of 221.1.
The Eagles will be back in action on Oct. 6 at Fairfield University
