Allyson swam both breaststroke and individual medley events all season... finaled in both the 400 im and 200 breaststroke at the Terrier Invitational... Qualified for and competed in the ECAC Championships in Pittsburgh, Pa.... Competed in every home meet as well as three away meets, Loyola, Dartmouth, and Boston University

Allyson attended Holy Cross High School from 2006 to 2009 and St. Joseph's Academy senior year... lettered all four years of high school... New Jersey State Qualifier in 2008 and 2009... Missouri State qualifier in 2010... State finalist in the 400 free relay in 2010... Rookie of the Year her freshman year and MVP her sophomore year... Sectionals Qualifier 2008, 2009 and 2010... Middle Atlantic Zone Team Qualifier in 2008

Allyson is the daughter of Pat and Jennifer Shurmur. She has 3 siblings, Erica, Kyle and Claire. Allyson swam for her club teams Jersey Wahoos and currently for Clayton Shaw Park Tideriders . .. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
