As A Junior (2011 - 2012): Caitlin was chosen as Boston College's Outstanding Performance Award for distance events against University of Maine and Florida Gulf Coast University... At the Terrier Invitational Molloy turned in a top finish for Boston College in the 1650 yard Freestyle with a time of 17:32.94 which also earned her a Boston College Outstanding Performance Award... She was selected to represent BC at the ACC Championship for the third year in a row... She was the Eagles top finisher at ACC in the 1650 freestyle (17:37.81) and the 500 freestyle ( 5:07.03)... Molloy was part of the 800 freestyle relay that finished 11th at ACC Championship and 7th at the Terrier Invitational... Overall Molloy scored 139.5 points for Boston College over the season... recipient of the Athletic Director's Academic Achievement Award and ACC Scholar Athlete award... She was elected co-Captain for the 2012 - 2013 season.
As a Sophomore (2010 - 2011): Caitlin was awarded the 2011 Kevin Conway Outstanding Sophomore Award for fulfilling promises and keeping pace in the distance events... Chosen as Boston College's Outstanding Performer during the Colgate University meet for the 1000 yard Freestyle with a time of 10:51.28... At the Terrier Invitational, Molloy turned in personal Boston College career bests in the 500 yard freestyle (5:06.58), 200 yard freestyle (1:56.41), and the 200 Breaststroke (2:31.20)... She was selected for the BC Atlantic Coast Conference championship team for the second year in a row... She was the Eagles top finisher in the 1650 yard freestyle at both the Terrier Invitational (17:36.15) and the ACC Championship (17:35.68)... Molloy was part of the Eagle's 800 yard Freestyle relay that placed 7th at the Terrier Invitational and 9th at the ACC Championship... She also swam the 200 and the 500 at ACC's...overall scored a total of 132.75 points for the Eagles... recipient of the Athletic Director's Academic Achievement Award and ACC Scholar Athlete award.
As a Freshman (2009-2010): Chosen as Boston College's Outstanding Performer during the meet against Northeastern University for her first place finish in the 1000 yard Freestyle (10:38.01)... Molloy was selected to represent the Eagle's at the 2010 Atlantic Coast Conference Championship where she swam the 200 yard freestyle, 500 yard freestyle, and the 1650 yard freestyle... recipient of the Athletic Director's Academic Achievement Award and ACC Scholar Athlete award.
Before BC: Attended Pine-Richland High School... Lettered all four years... team captain 2008 and 2009... NISCA All American 2008... United States Swimming Scholastic All-American 2007, 2008, and 2009... All State 2006, 2008, and 2009...Team High Point Winner 2007, 2008, and 2009... Holds team records in 500 free, 200 free, 200 IM, and 400 free relay... Junior and Senior Athlete Representative to United States Swimming for Allegheny Mountain LSC.
Personal: Caitlin is the daughter of Peter and Moira Molloy... she has a sister, Elizabeth, who graduated from Gannon University... Caitlin swam for Pine-Richland Aquatics and Pine-Richland High School both coached by Pete Barry... Caitlin is an Economics major in the College of Arts and Sciences.
