Softball Signs Six New Players For The Class Of 2014

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College softball team had six standouts sign national letters of intent to attend Boston College for the 2010-11 softball season, announced Head Coach Jennifer Finley this week. The six standouts include two outfielders, two infielders, a catcher and a pitcher.

"We are very excited about this year's recruiting class," Finley said. "They are a very talented group, and we are looking forward to them contributing immediately to our program."

Alana DiMaso is a shortstop from Holmdel, N.J. She currently attends Red Bank Catholic High School and plays for the New Jersey Intensity travel team.

Amanda Horowitz is a pitcher from Westminster, Ca. She currently attends Huntington Beach High School and play for the USA Athletics travel team.

Nicole Koszowski is an outfielder from Mountainside, N.J. She currently attends Governor Livingston High School and plays for the New Jersey Breakers travel team.

Megan Scanlon is a catcher from Lawrenceville, N.J. She currently attends The Hun School of Princeton and plays for the Pennsbury Gems travel team.

Victoria Speer is an outfielder from Trabuco Canyon, Ca. She currently attends Mission Viejo High School and plays for the California Explosion travel team.

Lastly, Biranne Tanke is a first baseman from Manalapan, N.J. She currently attends Manalapan High School and plays for the East Coast Elite travel team.

The 2010 softball season kicks off in mid-February when the team travels to Corpus Christi, Tx., to participate in the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Tournament.
