Former Boston University standout joins the Eagles staff.
The Acton, Calif. native spent last year as a strength and conditioning graduate assistant at Boston University and assistant softball coach at Arlington High School. In 2010, she served as assistant softball coach and head strength and conditioning coach at Babson College.
During her four year playing career, Shayne was fourth all time at BU in career batting average (.334) and first in career stolen bases (95). Lotito finished her senior season with a career best .359 average in 57 games for the Terriers and was named to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Northeast Region First Team in 2009. She garnered America East First Team honors in 2006 and 2008.
Since 2009, Shayne has been dedicated to working at softball camps and training facilities as well as bring a fitness instructor at both Boston University and various local fitness centers. Lotito will work with every aspect of the program and specialize with the outfield and base running.
