AS A SENIOR (2007)
Started and played in 45 games at shortstop ... Was second on the team with a batting average of .318, 48 hits, 10 doubles, 9 homeruns, 30 RBIs and 85 total bases ... Led team with 31 runs scored and five stolen bases ... Made only two errors in 193 chances, good for a sterling .990 fielding percentage ... Became first player in school history to record a three-homerun game when she did so against Virginia on March 31st ... Duplicated 3-Hr feat 10 days later, at home against Rhode Island ... Recorded 7 RBIs in both 3-Hr games ... Had four hits in one game against North Carolina on Mar 25th ... Had 12 multi-hit games on the season, including five games of three hits or more ... AS A JUNIOR (2006)
Started in all 48 games at shortstop...named to NFCA All-Northeast Regional second-team...earned All-ACC second-team honors...led the Eagles in batting average (.379), hits (61), runs scored (35), doubles (14), total bases (96) and slugging percentage (.596)....379 batting average tied the fourth best in school history...had 16 multi-hit games...was named to the All-ACC Tournament Team after hitting 571 with four hits, including a double and a home run...collected a .961 fielding percentage...had 120 put outs and 127 assists...went 4-for-4 in season-opener against Louisiana-Monroe...had three hits, including two home runs, drove in six runs and scored four times in 15-3 win against Connecticut on March 22...in the summer of 2006, played for the Stratford Brakettes, winning a national championship...named to the ASA Women's Major Fastpitch first-team All-America and received the ASA Women's Major Fastpitch Defensive Player Award

AS A SOPHOMORE (2005)
Started and played in 44 games...had 22 RBI and two home runs...earned a .256 batting average with 33 hits...had 101 putouts and 101 assists with a .971 fielding percentage...had four RBI game twice. The first was against Auburn on Feb. 20 and the second came against Harvard on April 12.

AS A FRESHMAN (2004)
Played in and started 56 games...hit .237 for the year, with 36 hits and 12 RBI...had a .355 slugging percentage... in Big East games, hit .212 with five RBI and 11 hits...posted nine multiple-hit games, including a 3-for-3 performance against Connecticut....collected a .961 fielding percentage...had 110 assists and 112 put outs... named Big East Player of the Week on April 12...received the Joseph L. Winn '73 Family Athletics Fund Endowed Scholarship

A three-year member of the softball team at Milford High...member of the 2002 Central Mass. Division I Championship team that went 20-4...the 2002 Mid-Wachusett A League MVP...a Mid-Wachusett all-star selection...member of the Worcester Telegram & Gazette Super Team...Metro West and Milford Daily News all-star...captained the team during her senior season...hit .520 with 29 RBI and 18 stolen bases...also a member of the basketball team...scored her 1,000th point during her junior year...a member of the National Honor Society who graduated with high honors.

Born on April 23, 1985...Daughter of Theresa and Peter Macchi...Has a brother Brian who played baseball for Boston College and was the 2002 Eagle of the Year...He is also an assistant coach with the team this year...Enrolled in the Carroll School of Management as a general management major.
