Ager, Meehan Named Eagles of the Week

Sep 3, 2013

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Senior Chris Ager (men's soccer) and sophomore McKenzie Meehan (women's soccer) were named Eagles of the Week following their performances on the soccer field last week.

Ager was named the ACC Player of the Week after he scored both BC goals in a 2-1 overtime win at Boston University on August 30. The Gjettum, Norway product scored the equalizer in the 48th minute and then tallied the game-winner with 34 seconds left in the first overtime. He was also named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week.

Meehan notched her first career hat trick in a 6-5 overtime victory at Hofstra on Sunday. Meehan, who was an All-ACC Freshman team recipient last season, scored the Eagles first goal to cut the deficit to 2-1. She then scored the go-ahead goal three minutes into the second half. Her third goal of the game came four minutes into overtime. It was her second game-winning goal of the season and third in her career.

The men's soccer team (1-0-1) hosts No. 21 Wake Forest on Saturday night in Newton while the women (2-2-0) host No. 21 Ohio State on Thursday.
