Women's Soccer Falls to Syracuse
CHESTNUT HILL,Mass.-Syracuse University freshman Erin O'Gradfy scored a goal less than three minutes into the first overtime period to give the Orangewomen soccer team a 1-0 win against Boston College. The win gives SU an 8-2 overall record, 4-2 in the BIG EAST while Boston College goes to 4-3-1, 3-3 in the BIG EAST.
Freshman Sheri Shifren passed the ball at midfield to O'grady who dribbled the ball downfield and scored from eight yards out at the 92:09 mark.
Both teams had nine shots on goal during regulation while BC had nine corner kicks to seven for Syracuse. SU goalkeeper Juli Slack had four saves.
The Orangewomen will play at Army on Wednesday at 7:00p.m. Syracuse will then host Pittsburg on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at Soccer Stadium at the Lampe Athletics Complex.
