Boston College Beats Providence in Overtime
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Boston College defeated Providence College, 1-0, Tuesday in BIG EAST women's soccer action at Chestnut Hill, Mass.
BC freshman forward Rachael Klemanski headed in a pass from sophomore back Brandy Manza to score the winning goal in the second overtime at the 108:15 mark.
Boston College peppered PC sophomore goalkeeper Shayna Ross who made a career high 19 saves in the loss. BC freshman goalkeeper Courtney Schaeffer recorded two saves.
Boston College improved its record to 3-2, 2-2 in the BIG EAST while Providence dropped to 1-2-1 overall and 0-1 in the league.
The Friars return to action on Saturday, September 20 in their home opener against West Virginia at 12:30 p.m.
