Eagles to host No. 2 Stanford on Friday, Aug. 23 at 7 p.m.
Mark McDevitt begins his first season as an assistant coach with the Boston College Women's Soccer Program. A native of Derry, Northern Ireland, he has more than 13 years of coaching experience at a wide range of levels in the US.
As a player, McDevitt played on a national championship team at the University of Ulster, Magee, won two national championships with his high school team, and also captained his club team to both indoor and outdoor national championships.
Additionally, McDevitt represented Northern Ireland at various under age levels, and was selected for the Ireland Universities National team in his senior year of college. McDevitt moved to the US in 2000 when he accepted a position with Global Premier Soccer in MA.
He has held a variety of positions in his 13 years with Global Premier Soccer, the most recent being as General Manager of its NH office. He was also the associate head coach of the Boston Renegades W League team during the 2007 and 2008 seasons.
Mark holds a USSF B license. He graduated from the University of Ulster, Magee in 2000 with a degree in business studies with a specialization in entrepreneurship.
