Alpine Team turns in great performance at Regional.

Waterville Valley, NH - Boston College's women's ski team had a great weekend at the Eastern Collegiate Ski Conference regional races. The Eagles took the team slalom title on Saturday and held on for a close second place overall team finish for the weekend. The Eagles will now advance to the US Collegiate Ski Association's National Championships March 3-6 at Sunday River.
On Saturday,Senior Captain Perrie Finsand's third place finish put her on the individual podium and led the Eagles to the top of the team standings in the Slalom. Strong showings by Sophomore Laura Martini (eighth),Freshman Kelly Burgart (11th) and Junior Erica Reilly (12th) allowed BC to beat second place team UMass by more than five seconds. All four Eagles were awarded All Conference status.
The Eagles finished fourth in Sunday's Giant Slalom, just behind third place UMass. Laura Martini (ninth), Junior Captain Molly Testwuide ("a career best tenth place finish") and Erica Reilly (17th) led the Eagles with strong races. Martini and Testwuide both were placed on the All Conference Giant Slalom team.
In the Women's combined scores, the Eagles were edged out by Colby Sawyer for the top spot in a three way tiebreaker. UMass finished third in the field of 12 competing schools. Five Eagle skiers finished in the top twenty combined individual scores. Martini, Finsand and Reilly all made the All Conference combined team.
